Lisa Rosenblum
Executive Director, King County Library System

Lisa Rosenblum was hired as King County Library System Executive Director in January 2018. Prior to KCLS, she served as Director and Chief Librarian at Brooklyn Public Library (NY), and before that as Director of Library and Community Services for Sunnyvale (CA) and Hayward (CA.) She earned a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from St. John's College, Annapolis, Maryland, and a Master of Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. Lisa currently serves on the University of Washington Information School MLIS Advisory Board and has taught management courses at the MLIS program for San Jose State University (CA) and Pratt Institute (NY). Lisa was honored to be chosen a 2009 Alumni of Distinction for San Jose State University, a 2009 Library Journal Mover and Shaker, and was chosen to participate in the Stanford University Institute on the Future of Libraries and the Urban Libraries Council Executive Leadership Institute. She is also a published author, with her latest contribution a chapter on strategic planning for the revised edition of Information Services Today.
