Stuart Hunt is Director, University Library & Collections Services and University Librarian at the University of Reading. In this role he has leadership responsibility for libraries, museums, archives and special collections at the University of Reading. Stuart has a background in university libraries and previously worked in senior roles in both research-intensive Russell Group universities as well as post-1992 universities in the UK. Stuart has published and given conference papers on content strategy, collection development, innovation in libraries, and process improvement. His current professional activities include committee memberships and advisory boards. He is Chair of the Jisc Collection Management Community Advisory Board, a member of the M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries Steering Group, and the EBSCO European Academic Advisory Board. He has also been a member of various Jisc and Research Libraries UK (RLUK) task and finish groups. He is a past Chair of the CILIP Cataloguing and Indexing Group and past member of the Book Industry Communications (BIC) Libraries Committee in the UK and the CILIP/British Library Committee on RDA.
