Join OCLC colleagues at the virtual Illinois Library Association Annual Conference. We hope you can join us for a session to learn about WorldCat tools that make it easier to keep your holdings current.

Ease the Pain of Keeping Your WorldCat Holdings Up to Date
4:15—5:15 pm

When your WorldCat holdings fall out-of-date, users can unwittingly request items that are no longer available in your catalog. Updating holdings manually can be a challenge, as well. In this session, you’ll hear from SWAN Library Services how Local Library System Automation Programs (LLSAPs) use WorldCat data sync collections and the WorldCat Metadata API to manage their holdings, improving resource sharing and discoverability. You’ll also hear an update on other key OCLC initiatives.

Scott Brandwein, Bibliographic Services Manager and Rudy Host, System Engineer from SWAN will share the current state of OHM (OCLC Holdings Manager) and how LLSAPs in Illinois are now updating WorldCat holdings. An OCLC representative will provide the OCLC update and answer questions.
