Sharing Breakthroughs: 2017 OCLC Resource Sharing Conference
Join the OCLC Resource Sharing Conference, March 14-16, at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront in Virginia Beach, Virginia
Please join us: March 14–16, 2017
Join ILL colleagues and OCLC staff to share the latest in resource sharing technology and best-in-class approaches to patron service and interlibrary loan workflows. As a strong community of ILL librarians, we can apply the principles of resource sharing to our own knowledge and professional development. As part of this group, you’ll find ways to improve operational efficiencies, save time, and better connect end users to the information they need to make their own breakthroughs possible. It’s a unique opportunity to interact with a very specific and knowledgeable community of professionals.
All events take place at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront, just steps away from an expansive boardwalk and many dining and shopping options.
Early-bird registration is open through January 6, 2017. Your conference fees ($200 USD) include access to all sessions and programs; transportation from the Norfolk International Airport to conference hotels and back; Tuesday/Wednesday evening social events; and Wednesday/Thursday breakfast and lunch. The regular conference fee ($250 USD) takes effect on January 7. 2017.
The Call for Participation is also open through January 6, 2017. The OCLC Resource Sharing Conference Program Committee welcomes proposals that highlight general resource sharing topics, as well as service-specific workflows, best practices and shortcuts. If you find writing and submitting a proposal overwhelming, we encourage you to consider participating in one of our panel discussions. Several discussions are already planned and you can participate in one that fits your expertise. See the Call for Participation form for more information.
