WorldCat Discovery Best Practices
This program provided information from two health sciences libraries about how they implemented WorldCat Discovery as a part of their institutions’ support for predominantly electronic collections and adoption of OCLC’s WorldShare Management System.

Participants learned from two medical school libraries who are live on WorldCat Discovery. They heard from Sean Varner, the Assistant Director of Systems for Louis Stokes Health Sciences Library at Howard University, who shared how they moved to a completely electronic content solution for their users.
They also learned how Robyn Gleasner and Jacob Louis Nash from the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center implemented WorldCat Discovery as a part of their institution’s move to OCLC’s WorldShare Management System (WMS). Participants heard how both of these libraries met the specialized needs of their students, faculty and staff through WorldCat Discovery—and gained insights and best practices to help with their own move to WorldCat Discovery. conversation.
