Developer Network site redesign

As some of you may already have noticed, Developer Network has a redesigned website and a new web address - http://www.oclc.org/developer . The site is a ground up redesign. We've changed the technology, design, and improved the content. The redesign is intended to give you easier-to-use documentation of OCLC Web Services, as well as provide an enhanced space for developers to contribute to the growing Developer Network community. We've revamped our documentation to provide greater consistency, better code examples, and additional details on more Web services. We're using Drupal to power the site because it gives you many new features including:

  • You can provide feedback on or ask questions about all Web services and documentation via comments
  • An event calendar with support for iCal and RSS to keep you up-to-date on upcoming activities
  • Event pages with easy access to handouts, presentations, photos, and videos
  • Galleries for applications, and code libraries, with RSS feeds to let you know when new applications and code libraries are contributed
  • New ways for developers to upload and share their apps, along with tools to rate and comment on others' apps
  • A "Groups" section, intended to facilitate discussion of specific Web services or events

If you have a WorldCat Affiliate or WorldCat.org account, you already have the necessary credentials to log into the site and participate in discussions. Check it out and we look forward to your continued contributions through the Developer Network! If you have any questions, comments, or good ideas for future enhancements to the site, please feel free to contact us.
