Catmandu OCLC Plugin
Integration with VIAF and xID added to Catmandu during an ELAG 2014 Bootcamp.Library programmers need to create ad-hoc scripts on a regular basis. Catmandu is an ETL toolkit for libraries that can be used as an alternative to writing and maintaining those scripts individually. Catmandu provides scripts to “Extract” data from various sources, "Transform" it, and then “Load” or export. Transformation scripts ("Fixes") are written in a user-friendly format that programmers can share directly with data specialists to review proposed changes.
The VIAF and xID integrations provide two new options for transforming data using OCLC services. E.g., To lookup ISBN, ISSN numbers, or to get more information about authors.
