Americas Regional Council Annual Meeting and OCLC Symposium: Research in Context
This event will open with an update on recent Americas Regional Council and Global Council activities. The OCLC Symposium, "Research in Context," will follow immediately. Refreshments will be served after the Symposium.
The OCLC Symposium will feature Lorcan Dempsey, Vice President, OCLC Research and Chief Strategist, and Chrystie Hill, Director, OCLC Community Relations, who will discuss how research activities can move beyond insights into action. Research often starts by recognizing and mapping changes in the environment. But knowing where we are and how we got here is only half of the equation. For research to be valuable, it must also be actionable.
Roundtable discussion will follow, both live and online, about the ways in which research can help your library achieve greater impact and plan with confidence.
