Course description

These two two-hour live meeting session will teach library staff how to use the California Libraries Catalog and how to teach it to their customers. It will also cover WorldCat, the OCLC union catalog. Topics to be covered include searching using both the basic and advanced search screens, customizing the interface using the Administrative Module, and using the catalog from outside the library. Information about OCLC’s complementary program to update library holdings will also be provided.

Session I: Will cover using the Catalog and WorldCat

Session II: Will cover customizing the Catalog, remote access and update holdings
