Course description
Many organizations have developed and now are managing large numbers of digital photographs. These resources are being expanded through gifts of born-digital photographs from campus photographers, newspapers and other sources. This workshop focuses on such long-term management issues as selection, appraisal, format control, rights and licensing of digital photograph collections. Includes selecting an appropriate preservation strategy for born-digital material, the key issues in maintaining and providing access to materials in a digital format, and options for archiving digital photographs for long-term preservation.
