Course description

This workshop covers the MARC bibliographic format and how to interpret bibliographic records. Topics in this in-depth workshop include the purpose and structure of the MARC bibliographic format, and functions of the leader, tags, indicators, and subfield codes. The lecture and off-line exercises will enable trainees to use the most common fixed and variable fields for books.
