The following chart shows how WorldCat.org builds index values from the MARC fields listed to get the format/facet. Index values can be used to construct a search to return a certain format/facet.

For example, a search on x0:audiobook results in the following sub-facets: cassette, CD, LP, eAudiobook.
To see only cassettes, the search is x0:audiobook x4:cassette.
