Good Practices for Great Outcomes: Cataloging Efficiencies that Make a Difference

Dr. Ellen Safley, Director of Libraries, University of Texas at Dallas kicked off this May 5 event by welcoming more than 60 participants. Stefanie Wittenbach, University Librarian at the brand new Texas A&M–San Antonio library, provided the opening keynote at this lively, interactive OCLC member event, generously hosted by the McDermott Library at the University of Texas at Dallas. We also featured the following speakers from OCLC and our member community, who discussed workflow efficiencies: Glenn Patton, Director, WorldCat Quality Management, OCLC, Debbie Montgomery, Head of Cataloging Team, University of Texas at Dallas, Jennifer Gordon, Head of Electronic Resources Team, University of Texas at Dallas, and Beth Walters, Head of Cataloging, Fort Worth Library. Shawne Miksa, University of North Texas College of Information provided the closing keynote on training the cataloger of the future.
