Ordering

If you are ready to place an order, please complete the appropriate forms.

  • To order a standard* batchload project for bibliographic records or to order a Local Holdings Record Updating service (LHRUS) project:

Please log on or create a new account in the OCLC Online Service Center (OSC). Navigate to the "OCLC Services" page in the OSC to select the service you want to order. Click the Batchload Processing for Bibliographic Records link or click the Batchload Processing for Local Holdings Records link.

Note: Place all orders for LHRUS projects through the order form in the OSC. It is the only order form for LHRUS projects.

Recommendation: Before logging on, use checklists of required order information to prepare for ordering:
Batchload Order Checklist for Bibliographic Record Projects
Batchload Order Checklist for LHRUS Projects
  • To order a nonstandard** bibliographic record project, please complete the Batchload Order form on the OCLC Web site.
  • To place orders for Bibliographic Record Snapshots held in OCLC archive data sets for your institution, or issue Out-of-Warranty requests for a single or for multiple member institutions, use the Bibliographic Record Snapshot Request.

*Standard batchload projects for bibliographic records are those that meet the following criteria:
—Holdings will be set for a single OCLC institution symbol.
—Records are in MARC 21 format.
—Character encoding in the records is either MARC-8 or UTF-8 Unicode.
—You do not need to receive full OCLC-MARC records as output.

**Nonstandard projects are those that fall outside the criteria listed above.
For example, if you want to order a project with OCLC-MARC records returned, use the nonstandard order form.

See Batchload Solutions for Bibliographic Records, pp. 2-3, for more details about ordering standard versus nonstandard batchload projects.
