Executive Briefing on Library, Museum and Archive Collaboration
CILIP in association with OCLC has organised a day-long Briefing enabling information professionals working in libraries, museums and archives (or LAMs) to appreciate better the advantages of collaborative working and the benefits it can bring.
The event will explore the possibilities for bringing LAM collaboration to your institution; understanding the motivations and strategies of institutions which have started converging their LAMs around a shared vision of seamless access.
The Briefing’s programme includes expert opinion from institutions around the world. Expert speakers from service organisations who are striving to help LAMs become more efficient by working together will debate key issues with users from various institutions. The objective will be to identify how best to develop synergy among libraries, archives and museums so each can re-focus on its distinctive and unique services.
Günter Waibel and Ricky Erway of OCLC Research, co-authors of a recent report on collaboration among libraries, archives and museums, have created an agenda which highlights model collaborations as well as resources to help you succeed in establishing cross-sectoral activities.
With this cutting-edge programme, CILIP and OCLC Research will explore the possibilities for bringing LAM collaboration to your institution, and show the future beyond the silos of the LAMs!
Places will be limited so immediate booking is strongly advised.
