Course Overview
The Fundamentals of Cataloging series covers the basics of cataloging in five HANDS-ON sessions. Attend all the sessions or only the ones of interest. In this session, we will cover the theories behind the classification schemes (both Dewey Decimal and Library of Congress) used by most academic and public libraries. Participants will learn how these classifications are used for organization and access to materials.
