Preserve, Produce, Promote: Securing & Leveraging Your Libraries Best Material Asset, Your Local History & Special Collections (MCLS)

Course Overview

With large scale resource sharing, fewer holdings make your library unique. Often local history collections are regulated to locked closets or pushed under stairs. Seize the opportunity to preserve and tell the stories of your community or institution through the remarkable photographs, manuscripts and ephemera already in your possession.

Join us for a three-hour online class on the basics of preserving, handling, organizing, describing, digitizing, publishing and marketing your special collections, then soliciting more.

This class will be online for 1 - 3 hour session using our online workshop software. All registered attendees will receive additional login information a few days prior to the class date.
