OCLC ILLiad community discussions

Welcome to the OCLC ILLiad community discussion area. This support user community is comprised of over 1250 separate libraries who utilize the ILLiad software to perform the resource sharing activities of borrowing, lending, and document delivery.

OCLC provides two separate ILLiad discussion areas.

ILLiad Libraries

ILLiad Libraries is dedicated to product and technical topics:

  • Customization of user, staff and database interfaces: word template files, html files, CSS style sheets, reporting tools and ODBC scripting
  • Standards support: OpenURL, ISO-ILL, LDAP, SSL, SMTP, RSS, HTTP, Z39.50 searching of local catalogs
  • Integration with various authentication schemes: ILLiad Basic, ILLiad Exclusive, LDAP, Patron API and RemoteAuth (aka EZproxy, Shibboleth, CAS, PubCookie, CoSign)
  • New release messages, new feature discussions and end-of-support announcements

ILLiad Libraries with OCLC hosting

ILLiad Libraries with OCLC hosting is dedicated to the over 500 ILLiad servers hosted in the OCLC Dublin data center. Additional topics include details about the extra benefits of hosting, server maintenance messaging and any service alert notifications.

We are a worldwide library cooperative, owned, governed and sustained by members since 1967. Our public purpose is a statement of commitment to each other—that we will work together to improve access to the information held in libraries around the globe, and find ways to reduce costs for libraries through collaboration.
