Automatic Updates

The Project Client automatically checks for software updates so you can get the latest updates as quickly as possible. When updates are available, the Project Client downloads them in the background (i.e., you can continue working without interruption). You do not need to configure the Project Client to receive automatic updates.

When updates are downloaded, an installation prompt displays.

If you choose to install later, you can click the notification in the lower-right corner of the status bar when you are ready to exit and install the update.

Note: Installation of updates requires administrator privileges on your computer. If you do not have administrator privileges, request the installation from your system administrator.

After the updates are installed, you must restart your computer.

When the Project Client is up-to-date, the status in the lower-right is updated. If there is an issue with the update service, a status may display that the service is unavailable. If this status persists, contact CONTENTdm Support.

You can disable automatic updates by checking Do not check for future updates on the installation prompt.

To re-enable automatic updates when updates are ready to install, click the notification in the lower-right corner of the status bar. An Auto Updates dialog box displays. Check Enable Auto Updates and then click OK.
