3 Authorizations
3.1 Authorization and Password
Access to the WorldCat® Collection Analysis service is via the OCLC FirstSearch® service. A staff authorization, assigned by your library's FirstSearch administrator, is required.
Note: If your library subscribes to WorldCat Collection Analysis both as an individual institution and as part of a group, you will have a separate authorization /password for each subscription.
Access
To access WorldCat Collection Analysis:

| 1 | Log in to FirstSearch and select the Collection Analysis tab. |
| 2 | Enter your User Name and Password, then select the I agree to the terms and conditions button. Result:

Problems?
If you receive any of these messages:

Mismatched user name/password pair -
Invalid Authorization/Password -
The authorization is not a valid authorization in FirstSearch
or a similar message, contact your library's FirstSearch administrator.
If you receive any of these messages:

The number of simultaneous users for this authorization has been exceeded. -
Your access to FirstSearch has expired. -
Your authorization is not valid for FirstSearch because you are out of searches. -
Temporary System Error
advise your FirstSearch administrator to contact your regional service provider or OCLC Support immediately.
