File Structure of Label Formats for Use with the OCLC Cataloging Label Program

The OCLC Cataloging Label Program can import labels from a file created with the browser interface to OCLC Connexion. It also works with label files from the OCLC PromptCat service. Or, you can create your own text file from your local system or other software which can be imported into the Label Program.

The Label Program supports the following four label formats:

  • SP1 label format (one spine label with no pocket labels)
  • SLB label format (one spine label; one pocket label)
  • SL4 label format (one spine label; two single-spaced pocket labels)
  • SL6 label format (one spine label; two double-spaced pocket labels)
