Can I use my iPod with NetLibrary eAudiobooks?

NetLibrary eAudiobooks cannot be played on iPods at this time. iPods use the .aac file format which does not support the Digital Rights Management (DRM) protection required by NetLibrary eAudiobooks. This DRM technology allows checked out items to expire on the due date, a feature that .aac technology does not offer.

Digital Rights Management protection used by NetLibrary helps ensure that the content of our publishing partners is secure, especially when items are checked out from the library's collection and borrowed by a user rather than purchased.

For additional information, see "iPod: About compatible song formats," or find information on tested Portable Listening Devices (e.g., mp3 players)
