Searching WorldCat Indexes

Abstract

Description, guidelines, and examples for each WorldCat search index, including fields and subfields indexed. Also lists fields and subfields indexed in tag order with indexes that cover each. Gives two index check lists: one in alphabetical order, noting indexes that are browsable as well as searchable, and the other in groups based on the kind of data you might use to search, such as name indexes, title indexes. Also describes types of WorldCat searches and how to combine and qualify searches. For users of OCLC Connexion, CatExpress, and WorldCat in FirstSearch and Resource Sharing.
