Downloading Macros

The following Passport macros are available. To download:

  1. Shift click the macro name to save the desired macro file to disk.
  2. Select the passport directory and click "OK."
  3. Use Passport's macro editor to edit the macro. (You cannot use a word processor for this task.)

  • authwfm.mbk

    Authwfm.mbk is an OCLC-supplied macrobook that creates a completed name authority workform from a heading on a bibliographic record. NACO participants can generate name authority workforms from bibliographic heading fields 100-130, 240, 440, 600-630, 651, 700-730, and 800-830. (Revised 19990122).

  • cdcatme.mbk

    Use this macro with a displayed online OCLC Cataloging constant data record to reformat and copy the variable fields to the Windows clipboard for pasting into a CatME for Windows constant data record.

  • cdconbrw.mbk

    Use this macro with a displayed online constant data record in Passport which reformats and copies the variable fields to the Windows clipboard for pasting into a constant data record in MARC Text Area in the browser interface to OCLC Connexion.

  • dcutter.exe

    The OCLC Dewey Cutter Macro increases your productivity and efficiency by providing an automatic cuttering function for Dewey Decimal Classification numbers. The macro creates a cutter number automatically from the main entry of your bibliographic record, pasting it into the 092 field, and reformatting the record. You can choose either the Cutter Four-Figure Table or the Cutter-Sanborn Four-Figure Table (identical to the tables in Dewey For Windows ver. 1.01).

    This is a self-extracting zip file.  To install it, run setup. See the readme file for instructions.

  • illsave.mbk

    Use this macro to save the full ILL records whether on one or multiple screens to the SCREENS.SVS file. You can use it for any single or multiple screen OCLC system displays. Based on the <F12> Print Record macro (19970718).

  • illutil.mbk

    Use these macros to process the new ILL Message File Categories: Online Produce and Direct Produce.

    The Instructions describe how to assign keymaps to the macros and the function of each macro.

  • multiset.mbk

    The PrintLabelSetsNoGraphics macro prompts the user for the number of label sets to print and prints to the LPT1 port.

  • pubpat.mbk

    For use by participants in the CONSER Publication Patterns Experiment, this macro adds publication pattern fields to serial records. To add a pair of publication pattern fields, retrieve a serial record, run the macro, then edit the resulting 891 fields as needed.

  • printsl.mbk

    This macro prints the labels.svs file to the LPT1 port.

  • prsmutil.mbk

    This default PRISM utilities macrobook is provided with Passport for Windows version 1.10a

  • save.mbk

    These macros, SaveBlock and SaveScreen, have been edited to allow control over spacing between label or screen saves. They are replacements for the SaveBlock and SaveScreen macros in Passport for Windows 1.00 and 1.10. They are included with 1.10a.

  • xpoutil.mbk

    This macro redirects an export to an open session (revised:19970304).

    This macro for searching the authority file and then copying the correct entry back to the bibliographic record (and creating the correct field).

  • checkaf.mbk

    These two macros are for use with authority files: One moves the bib record and chooses the Authority File; the other copies and pastes the subject from the Authority File to the bib record.

  • delfiles.mbk

    These three macros allow deletion of EXPORT.DAT, LABELS.SVS, and SCREENS.SVS from within Passport for Windows.

  • fastprnt.mbk

    This macro prints the full PRISM record in draft mode.

  • illsend.mbk

    These are two ILL macros: one is for filling out serial requests and the other is for book requests.

  • macrocat.mbk

    Uses file containing ISBN, Barcode, Price to pull DLC/DLC records from OCLC, checks records, adds local information, downloads labels and takes final action (19981110).

  • menudriv.mbk

    These four macros perform menu-driven corporate, name, personal, and title searches.

  • search.mbk

    This macro creates a graphical interface to format user input to perform derived, keyword, number and scan searches in the online and authority files without knowing OCLC syntax.
