12 Export

12.1 Exporting Analysis Results

You can download the current spreadsheet view as a tab-delimited text file which can then be imported into applications such as Microsoft® Excel.

To export a table view:

Select the ExportExport icon icon.

Result: A file download window opens.

Within the download window, select the Save button or its equivalent, then follow your browser's download sequence.

Be sure to note the file name and the directory to which you downloaded the file.

12.2 Exporting a Title List

Bibliographic information is displayed as a List of Brief Records. You can download this list as a tab-delimited text file which can then be imported into applications such as Microsoft® Excel.

These fields (when present) are exported to the .txt file:

Select the Export   Export icon icon in the Control Panel.

The Direct Export Records screen appears.

12.3 Export a graph

Use your browser's Save Picture As.. or Save Image As.. function to save the graph to a file. You can save the graph as either a .JPG or .BMP file. If you want to use the image in an HTML file, select .JPG in Step 2c below.

Before you begin: If the graph is larger than your screen, use the Smaller Reduce icon icon to reduce the width of the graph.the resulting file.

1 Position your cursor within the graph and right-click, then select Save Picture As.. or Save Image As.. from the drop-down menu.

Result: A Save Picture or Save Image dialog box opens.

2 Within the save dialog box:

a. In the Save in: field, navigate to the directory in which you want to save the file.
b. Optional: Rename the file.
c. Select a file type from the Save as type: drop-down menu.
d. Select the Save button.
Result: The save dialog box closes and the graph is saved to your directory .

Importing the resulting file. To import the file into a third-party application, follow the applicaiton's instructions.
