MeSH® — Medical Subject Headings sample vocabulary

Description:

The Medical Subject Headings (MeSH®) thesaurus is a controlled vocabulary produced by the National Library of Medicine and used for indexing, cataloging, and searching for biomedical and health-related information and documents. 

The MeSH® 2005 sample vocabulary contains 42 descriptor records, 83 qualifier records, and 891 descriptor/qualifier combinations, for a total of 1,016 records. 

The MeSH® 2006 sample vocabulary contains 5 descriptor records, 83 qualifier records, and 138 descriptor/qualifier combinations, for a total of 226 records.
