Carrie Vass

Carrie Vass assists Senior Research Scientist Lynn Connaway on the activities: "Cyber Synergy: Seeking Sustainability through Collaboration between Virtual Reference and Social Q&A Sites" and "Visitors and Residents: What Motivates Engagement with the Digital Information Environment?"

Carrie holds a B.A. and M.A. in communication studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In 2011 and 2012, she worked as a graduate assistant for the J. Murrey Atkins Library, where she conducted qualitative research for the library's anthropologist, Donna Lanclos. Carrie's personal research interests include issues of power in popular culture: using a critical cultural lense to reveal, oftentimes, oppressive ideologies.
