Jenny's current projects include VIAF and FRBR.

VIAF is a joint project of several national libraries, implemented and hosted by OCLC. The project's goal is to lower the cost and increase the utility of library authority files by matching and linking the authority files of national libraries, and then making that information available on the Web. Jenny’s role in this activity is to accept data from participating institutions and then match personal, corporate and geographic names across the files.

FRBR is a model that defines how bibliographic records can be clustered into intellectually related works. OCLC Research’s FRBR project clusters all of Worldcat using VIAF data to enhance the matching processes.

We are a worldwide library cooperative, owned, governed and sustained by members since 1967. Our public purpose is a statement of commitment to each other—that we will work together to improve access to the information held in libraries around the globe, and find ways to reduce costs for libraries through collaboration.
