My primary work is to bring user-centered interface design principles to the prototypes created by OCLC Programs and Research.
My main tools for rapid UI prototyping are paper and pencil, followed by building in xHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop, and XML.
I also dabble in Flash, Flex, Illustrator, and other interesting UI development tools, such as APIs and JavaScript libraries, as they become available. UI development is a huge playing field and I enjoying learning as much as I can.
My personal research interests include Usability in Web Design, Web Standards, and Information Visualization.
I have B.A.s in Journalism and the History of Art from The Ohio State University, and a M.L.I.S. from Kent State University.
I have been working in Web Design for over 10 years.
