  If possible, please convert digital files and scan paper documents in
  order to attach as .pdf files.

• If it is not possible to provide .pdf files, the following formats are also
  acceptable: .bmp, .doc, .gif, .jpg or .jpeg, .rtf, .tif or .tiff, .txt, .wps,
  .wri, .xls

• Double-spaced

• Minimum .5" margin

7. Attachments (proposal, cover page, budget, and supporting material)

Notice:
There are limits on the size of files that can be attached and sent, both individually and as a group. Individual files cannot exceed 4MB (approximately), but any file that takes longer than 90 seconds to attach to the form probably is too big to be sent. The total size limit for all attachments is approximately 10 MB, regardless of the number of files involved.

Users may wish to consult the documentation of the software used to create their files, since some programs have features that can be used to reduce the overall size of the saved file.

If all else fails, users may contact OCLC Research to explore alternatives to any problems they encounter. Please note that all issues must be resolved prior to 18:00:00 Eastern Daylight Time (U.S.) on 15 September 2008, so users are encouraged to assess the size of their application files as early as possible.

Applications must be submitted by 23:59:59 your local time on 15 September 2008. Receipt will be acknowledged. Late applications will be disqualified.

Acceptable file types are: .pdf (preferred), .bmp, .doc, .gif, .jpg or .jpeg, .rtf, .tif or .tiff, .txt, .wps, .wri, .xls

PLEASE NOTE: the submission program is case-sensitive! File names, including extensions (e.g., .pdf), must be in lower-case characters.

Remember that no single file can exceed approximately 4MB in size. All files together must not exceed 10MB. (If you attach a file that is too large, you will get a server error message when you click the Submit button. If this happens nothing will be submitted and you will have to start over.)
