Professional consultation and workshops

OCLC Preservation Service Centers provide consultation, workshops, and custom training programs in preservation issues and practices. Workshops and training programs may be conducted at one of our fully equipped, state-of-the-art reformatting laboratories, or at a customer's site.

Consultation, workshops, and training programs are available through Preservation Service Centers in the following areas:

  • Digital imaging basics
  • Digital scanning from microfilm
  • Quality review practices for digital images
  • Quality assurance of current and stored microforms
  • Guidelines to outsourcing a project
  • Review and analysis of an existing micrographic laboratory
