OLIB™

Integrated library management tailored to your individual needs

For nearly two decades OLIB has served a wide range of health, education, government and other special libraries with software that satisfies their library management needs. To date, OLIB has proven its worth in over three-hundred libraries around the world, offering a unique combination of library efficiency, ease-of-use and superior multi-media capabilities. It leads the way for libraries whose vision is to extend the reach of their service.

In 2008, OLIB achieved another milestone in its evolution, with the launch of OLIB Web. OLIB Web offers a comprehensive range of staff management functionality needed by libraries, but in a web environment. There is no client software to be installed on library PCs - staff just click on the browser in any location, at any time.

OLIB Web can be run with a system deployed at the library site or it can be used in conjunction with OCLC’s secure hosted environment in the UK to provide your library with a fully hosted solution. This development has increased the range of OLIB service models now available, and is proving invaluable to those wishing to sustain their bid for a functionally rich system at a cost within reach of most small to medium-sized libraries.

Once again, OLIB is proving to be a system that can adapt to the changing demands of libraries.

“We were keen to ensure that the chosen system could offer us the flexibility to meet our specific needs. It was clear … that OLIB was highly configurable so that we could make it our OLIB.”

Lee Bryant, LRC Manager, Bristol City College
