Since 2004, Lucia has supported OCLC Members in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Uruguay and Venezuela. She presents on a variety of topics related to libraries, museums and archives throughout the region. Lucia's professional experience includes the financial sector in Brazil and teaching English as a second language. She speaks fluent Portuguese, Spanish and English. She holds degrees in accounting as well as international marketing.

Lucia is the primary author for the OCLC blog, A View of South America, where she writes about OCLC and library issues in the Latin American and Caribbean region. She is also the moderator of the América Latina y el Caribe group on the Americas Regional Council "Member-to-Member" social networking site.

Lucia generally speaks on topics related to the value of membership in the cooperative, OCLC's member reports and OCLC in Latin America.
