DUBLIN, Ohio, USA, 14 June 2011—Robyn Ellard has been named Sales Consultant at OCLC Australia, based in Melbourne.
Ms. Ellard brings 12 years experience working in and for the library profession in university, public and special libraries, as well as in teaching, sales and marketing. She comes to OCLC after nearly five years as Director, Member Services, at the Australian Library and Information Association.
"Robyn will be working with the entire OCLC office to bring our current and future customers the best possible service," said Chris Thewlis, OCLC Regional Manager (Australia). She will be extensively involved in the rollout of OCLC Web-scale Management Services, the Web-based cooperative library management tools for metadata management, acquisitions, circulation, license management and workflow improvement.
Ms. Ellard will also be OCLC’s Australia contact for WorldCat Local, the OCLC discovery-to-delivery service that offers users integrated access to more than 800 million electronic, digital and physical library materials through a single search box.
