Invitation to Additional Connexion client 1.50 Workshop at UC Berkeley Campus

With the generous support form the University of California at Berkeley, East Asian Library, OCLC is pleased to announce that another client 1.50 workshop for client CJK users is scheduled for April 7, 2006, 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Please note that the date of this workshop is one day earlier than the workshop at San Francisco Public Library. Workshop attendees can take BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) from SF Downtown to Berkeley (the station name is Berkeley), and have about 12 minutes walk to Moffitt Library.

This workshop will focus on client CJK script-related features and functionality for CJK catalogers and technical services specialists, and provide hints and tips to increase their cataloging productivity.

Major topics in the workshop program are:

• International cataloging options set up
• Online and offline batch data processing
• WorldCat searching with CJK data
• CJK text editing and validation
• Records export and import
• MARC headings verification with LC File and Chinese Name Authority File
