Join us at one of several locations for a three-hour interactive workshop to examine the concept of libraries at Webscale. We’ll review highlights from OCLC’s recent research (including Libraries at Webscale and Perceptions of Libraries) and we’ll also discuss research on contemporary user behavior, innovation and creativity, including ideas from technology thought-leaders from within and beyond the profession. From research by organizations such as Pew, Educause and ERIAL, to observations and predictions from technology and innovation trendwatchers Kevin Kelly, Seth Godin and Steven Berlin Johnson, this workshop is one you won't want to miss.
Presented by OCLC's Member Services team, these events will take place at OCLC member libraries, are free to attend, and coffee and refreshments will be provided. A speaker and facilitator will lead each event. See individual event listings for more detail.
OCLC is a worldwide library cooperative, owned, governed and sustained by members since 1967. Our public purpose is a statement of commitment to each other—that we will work together to improve access to the information held in libraries around the globe, and find ways to reduce costs for libraries through collaboration.
