SISIS SunRise Circulation™
The SISIS SunRise Circulation system is a client-server loan system for both open access and closed stack libraries that supports single-branch and multi-branch systems. The functions handled by library staff throughout the lending process are based on user workflows, starting with comprehensive user management through activities such as loans, returns, renewals, reservations and payments. SISIS Sunrise batch-oriented processes determine fees, create overdue notices and prepare statistics that provide you with the required insights into your business processes. The SISIS SunRise Circulation system also contains a comfortable solution for active and passive interlibrary loans that includes integration with the German ILL systems (ZFL servers).
A comprehensive, client-based branch management system enables you to set parameters for all branches separately and without external help, determine individual opening hours and user conditions, systematically define open access and closed stack holdings and determine routes using a priority table.
The system calculates overdue, renewal and lending periods individually for your library and each branch. Of course you can overwrite calculated renewal and lending periods in each case by freely choosing a different period limit.
SISIS SunRise is designed to cope with high borrowing numbers without causing you inconvenience at the library desk. All processes are controlled using function keys on your computer keyboard or directly using function bar codes. Whether you want to process your postings on the basis of bar codes or RFID technology, SISIS SunRise works with both, and also supports a range of different backup systems.
In addition to the usual functions for loans, returns, renewals and reservations, you are also provided with a comprehensive user and fee management system and various special functions, e.g., managing easy-access and rotation holdings.
On the basis of the parameters set by you, SISIS SunRise determines overdue fees, creates user messages in the form of letters, e-mails or short messages and provides you with informative statistics that help you control your library processes.
Furthermore, you can access loans using the SIP2 protocol. This means that pay machines and self check-out/in systems can easily be connected to circulation.
