SISIS SunRise Cataloging™
The basic module of SISIS SunRise, SISIS SunRise Cataloging, manages and displays all bibliographic data. As manual title entry has rapidly decreased in the last few years, SISIS SunRise Cataloging offers comprehensive support for transferring catalog items using external data. It also supports access to remote databases via the Z39.50 interface, and the transfer of numerous CD services and data replication from library consortia.
New accessions are directly entered in SISIS SunRise Cataloging, so that this information is quickly made available to your users. Z39.50-based access to other databases (from library consortia or suppliers such as bookshops and publishers) means that high quality data sources are available for cataloging.
The range of functions provided by the catalog covers all areas needed to build up and maintain your holdings. Catalog processing uses standard graphical interfaces. Differently-configured search options, such as a standard search with integrated advanced and free-text search, make it easy for you to find stored information. Metadata for electronic resources is not a problem for the SISIS SunRise Cataloging system, either.
