SISIS SunRise EC Pay™
The EC Pay additional function is considerably more convenient and straightforward than conventional methods of payment. All it takes is a few simple steps. Activate the EC card payment function in SISIS SunRise Administration and establish a connection between the card payment reader, the POS terminal and your PC. After activation, the debit card notice appears in all approved circulation charge functions as an additional payment option. If this method of payment is chosen, the sum of the outstanding fees is sent from the circulation application to the POS payment terminal. The card is then read and checked and payment is made for the fees due.
Two payment slips are printed at the payment terminal upon final settlement.
- The first slip is signed on the back by your customer and serves as authorization for electronic direct debit for the respective amount.
- The second slip is given to the user as a receipt for the payment, just as when a customer receives a receipt for shopping purchases. What's more, the user doesn't have to enter a PIN code. All that's required is a signature.
The operation is additionally confirmed by the circulation system. Of course, expired or invalid EC cards are declined. The POS terminal saves each payment transaction and can easily be accessed from your service provider for the debit payments. Debit card payments are clearly indicated in all circulation balance sheets. So you have a clear overview at all times.
The advantages of SISIS SunRise EC PAY for you library and users are clear:
- Reduced work load for circulation staff as a result of fewer tasks and a lower likelihood of error in accounting and settlement.
- Reduced cash handling.
- No additional costs for hardware and maintenance because there is no local payment server.
- Insurance against non-payment provides additional security.
This service is currently limited to the use of EC cards from domestic credit institutions.
We use the ICM 530 POS terminal made by the INGENICO company.
For other applications, we work with the service provider InterCard AG.
