TitleDirect

Designed to help you manage the eBook selection, review and acquisition process more efficiently, TitleDirect is a sophisticated collection development resource that lets you incorporate content recommendations from subject matter experts such as faculty and staff. Once you create a custom profile for your library, TitleDirect can automatically send title lists of new eBooks to designated recipients. It aggregates all the recommendations and comments for you, so it's easy to review the discussion, make selections and place your order online.

Using TitleDirect

Set up TitleDirect users from a pool of four distinct usage and access levels: Administrator, Selector, Reviewer, or Read Only. Then create a collection development profile which will establish unique search and distribution attributes. Set up as many different profiles as needed and assign different users to each profile.

Using completed profiles, TitleDirect will automatically generate lists of content and notify you via e-mail that the lists are ready for review. Selectors and reviewers then make recommendations or review comments. Once the review process has been completed within your library, reviewers will aggregate recommendations, finalize the list of preferred titles and submit the order for acquisition.

Becoming a TitleDirect library

TitleDirect is available free of charge to member libraries. For initial set-up, an OCLC library services representative will assist you in defining users and establishing profiles.
