The complete array of exporting options
Connexion lets you export your bibliographic and authority records to your library's local catalog.
The Connexion browser provides:
- export of authority and bibliographic records in MARC 21 format with the MARC-8 character set
- export of bibliographic records in Dublin Core Simple or Qualified formats in HTML or RDF
- single record export or export of groups of records from the save file
- export to a file in Connexion and then download the file to your workstation at the end of your session
- export directly to your local system via a TCP/IP connection (Note: you might need to open your local system to receive records directly from the Connexion IP addresses to get records inside your firewall; you cannot display messages that are returned from your local system.)
The Connexion client provides:
- export of authority and bibliographic records in MARC 21 format; choose between MARC-8 and UTF-8 Unicode character sets. Note: the following local system vendors have successfully tested the UTF-8 Unicode export option:
- export of bibliographic records in Dublin Core Qualified format (UTF-8 Unicode character set) in XML
- single record export or export of groups of records from the save file
- immediate export, or mark records for batch export for later processing
- export to a file on your workstation, including appending to existing files
- export directly to your local system via a TCP/IP connection, including the Gateway export option that displays messages returned from your local system
- export via a printer or communications port
