WorldCat Resource Sharing: New OCLC Policies Directory installed
From 13th December existing WorldCat Resource Sharing will benefit from the implementation of a new Policies Directory. This is the culmination of 12 months development and will also see the implementation of a new user interface, hardware platform and underlying database for the Policies Directory. All existing policies, deflections, and contact data remain the same. The new interface includes increased usability as well as new features such as real time supplier status changes.
Existing customers will still be able to access the Policies Directory via existing routes, i.e.:
- The existing URL (https://illpolicies.oclc.org) using your OCLC ILL authorization and password.
- The WorldCat Resource Sharing interface, either by clicking the Policies Directory link or on the ‘Libraries that Own Item’ screen, by clicking on the red next to the library symbol.
- The existing links in the WorldCat Services Administrative module.
We've implemented some new features, including real-time supplier status, an improved more user friendly interface and integration with WorldCat Registry.
