OCLC EMEA Global Council Delegate Elections 2010

Governance structure model

This year we are transitioning to the new OCLC governance structure comprising an EMEA Regional Council and the OCLC Global Council. The EMEA Regional Council has determined that there will be open positions to elect 8 Delegates to represent the region at OCLC's Global Council from the following countries/areas in EMEA:

  • 2 representing Germany
  • 2 representing the Netherlands
  • 2 representing the UK
  • 2 representing the remaining countries in EMEA

There will be a separate election in each of these countries/areas. The call for nominations for these positions is now closed and the list of candidates approved by the EMEA nominating committee will be announced on the OCLC EMEA web site soon

OCLC Members in the EMEA region are eligible to vote in all 4 elections to select the 8 Delegates. Ballot papers will be sent to the designated contact for each member institution on 15th January 2010 and must be returned by 10th February, 2010. Each candidate has provided a resume and personal statement which will be sent along with the voting papers and will also be available on the web site. The results of the election will be announced at the OCLC EMEA Regional Council Meeting on 24th February, 2010.
