OCLC named among 'Healthiest Employers' in Central Ohio
Dublin-based OCLC ranked fifth in the large company category
DUBLIN, Ohio, 10 March 2017—OCLC has been named among the "Healthiest Employers in Central Ohio" for the fourth consecutive year. The nonprofit global library cooperative was ranked fifth out of 13 finalists in the large company category by the Healthiest Employers Awards Program.
Based in Dublin, OCLC provides technology services and research to thousands of libraries around the world. OCLC and its member libraries cooperatively produce and maintain WorldCat, the world's largest online database for discovery of library resources.
"We appreciate this recognition, and consider it an endorsement of our continued support for a culture that values health and wellness," said Skip Prichard, OCLC President and CEO. "OCLC's comprehensive benefits and programs are investments in people. We are committed to promoting health and wellness at OCLC headquarters in Central Ohio, and in our offices around the world."
OCLC offers a wide variety of wellness programs, financial rewards and incentives. These include on-site biometric screenings, telephonic and on-site health coaching, a health and well-being library and an on-site fitness center that offers basketball, racquetball and sand volleyball courts.
The Healthiest Employers Awards Program is organized by Columbus Business First in partnership with Healthiest Employers LLC, a privately held data research company in Indianapolis. The program is intended to identify companies in the region that go the extra mile to create an environment for workers to be active, fit and healthy.
