Sustainable Collection Services™ (SCS), which is part of OCLC, is delighted to announce that print book/e-book overlap data has recently been added to GreenGlass! This feature set is focused on helping users see and understand the extent to which they own both print and electronic editions of the same titles. In conjunction with many other parameters, this information can inform library decisions about which print books should be retained and which may be good candidates for withdrawal.
GreenGlass now provides the number and percentage of print items with an e-book surrogate by subject, location, usage levels, holdings levels, and publication year, and also provides limited data about the e-books themselves. GreenGlass users can now segregate books that do and do not have local e-book surrogates, and export lists that include corresponding ebook items.
