There are two ways libraries can increase the visibility of the collections via WorldCat.org:
1. If you participate in the OCLC cooperative by contributing metadata and subscribing to WorldCat Discovery (formerly FirstSearch and WorldCat Local) - your library's records will appear in WorldCat.org search results at no additional cost.
2. You can purchase a subscription to WorldCat.org which includes regular updates through a batchload process.
After that, metadata you contribute is searchable on WorldCat.org and is also available through various syndication partnerships on the wider Web, including such services as Google, Yahoo! and Goodreads.
