WorldCat knowledge base collections enabled for interlibrary loan
As of May 1, 2012, 113 libraries have enabled sharing of electronic content using the WorldCat knowledge base, in order to decrease turnaround time required for loaning content from electronic resources. As more libraries add their local data to the knowledge base and turn on article sharing in WorldCat Resource Sharing and ILLiad, lending libraries will receive an increasing number of loan requests that contain direct links to electronic articles in their collections that they are licensed to loan.
To help you implement your use of the WorldCat knowledge base for sharing electronic resources, we are sharing some information about which knowledge base collections are currently enabled for interlibrary loan.
The table below lists collections in the WorldCat knowledge base for which at least six libraries have set license terms for interlibrary loan and over 75% of these libraries agree with the Yes/No setting for interlibrary loan. The percentage number indicates the percentage of libraries that have holdings set for a collection that have indicated that license terms permit interlibrary loan of content from that collection. For example, 88% of the libraries that have holdings set for the BioOne.1 collection have indicated that they can loan content from this collection. 90% of the libraries with holding set for the Academic Complete collection have indicated that they cannot loan content from this collection.

We will continue to update this information as more libraries adopt use of the WorldCat knowledge base to support sharing electronic resources through WorldCat Resource Sharing and ILLiad.
