Bishop Grosseteste University – Moving Library Workflows to the Cloud!

In June Bishop Grosseteste University became the first live implementation of OCLC WorldShare Management Services (WMS) in the UK and Ireland.

The project started last year with a single overarching objective: improve student experience of library services.  In this session, Emma Sansby, Head of Library Services at Bishop Grosseteste, discusses the factors leading to the university’s decision to implement the cloud-based system, and discusses her experiences of the project. Emma will show some of the features of WMS, and share some of the initial reactions from staff and students.

Robin Murray, Vice President, Global Product Management at OCLC will host the meeting and provide an update on how WMS is developing now that OCLC has over 100 live instances across the world.

Working Smarter: Friday 21st June 14:30

OCLC's Titia van der Werf, Senior Program Officer is also presenting at the event.  Titia will be speaking about perspectives on collecting and exploiting library data to inform strategy.
