Robin Murray was named Vice President, OCLC Global Product Management, in 2007. He leads an international team responsible for delivering the organization’s enterprise product strategy. In 1999, Robin was appointed Managing Director and CEO of Fretwell-Downing Informatics, which is now part of OCLC. A thought leader within the information technology arena for more than 15 years, Robin is internationally recognized as an expert in information systems architecture, information integration and digital libraries. He has served on the European Expert Group for Libraries, and served on the board of NISO, the American National Information Standards Organization. Robin has also provided strategic consultancy worldwide for information, education, e-government and information integration systems involving large-scale academic and public organizations and businesses.

With a reputation as something of a futurist in the library community, Robin speaks on issues related to industry trends. Currently, his main thoughts and presentations in this area center on the topic of building Web scale for libraries.
