Borrow and lend materials with libraries down the road or around the world
WorldShare Interlibrary Loan now available
OCLC WorldShare Interlibrary Loan is a new service that replaces WorldCat Resource Sharing as part of libraries’ OCLC Resource Sharing subscriptions. The service centralizes workflows now managed in multiple systems, and will provide new functionality to speed fulfillment of interlibrary loan requests and save time for library staff and library users. WorldShare Interlibrary Loan is now available to libraries that use WorldCat Resource Sharing.
All WorldCat Resource Sharing users must transition to WorldShare Interlibrary Loan by May 19, 2014, when access to WorldCat Resource Sharing ends.
When you're a part of OCLC's global resource sharing network, your ability to satisfy the next customer is unmatched. Composed of more than 10,000 libraries worldwide, this network has at its core the comprehensive WorldCat database. WorldCat's millions of records represent library-owned resources—both physical and digital—that cross all manner of subjects, languages, cultures and uniqueness. You fill 95 percent or more of requests, reinforcing the perception of your library as a "one-stop" provider of essential services.
